EDM #61 - Draw 2 or More Similar Objects

I didn't start this drawing with the intention of telling a story but by adding the round-headed pin, I think it has the potential to do that.  Dictatorship? Alienation? Admiration?  You decide.

EDM #60 - Draw an Automobile or Part of One

OK, so don't laugh at me for this one.  This is the connecting rod that I drew at 11:00 last night after a few glasses of wine with friends.  My husband thought I was a little wacky wanting car parts to draw at that time, but I was determined to keep up my drawing commitment.  Anyway, he wasn't much help and I wasn't about to go out and sit in the garage at that time ,so this is the car part I found in the house.  It was either this or a brake rotor...the only 2 car parts in the dining room.  Yes, that's right...I said dining room.  After starting a fun-filled argument between car-loving friends over the exact motion that a connecting rod makes and breaking into the second jar of rum-soaked cherries, here is my less than perfect connecting rod.

EDM #59 - Draw a Sign of Spring (or Fall)

I live in the country and every fall we get this influx of ladybugs.  They make a mess.  Most ladybug drawings/cartoons have antenae on them, but I'm looking right at one and I don't see any on it.

EDM #52 - Draw Your Dog (Or Someone Else's)

Well, I don't have a dog and I wasn't close to anyone I know who has a dog so I resorted to photos for this challenge.  To make things more fun I decided to try some blind contour drawings, but I must warn you that they are pretty aweful! I don't even want to post it, but here goes...

A much bigger page would have been nice but this is the space I had in my watercolour Moleskine that I have dedicated to my EDM project.

Today is another anniversary or sorts...52 drawings...1 year's worth of weekly prompts done in 52 days.

EDM #47 - Draw a Challenge You Missed

Well, I didn't miss any so instead I drew the woodstove from the cabin that I hiked to today.

EDM #41 - Draw a Landmark of your City

OK, so not exactly a landmark...I live in the country, but this is the local haunted house.

EDM #40 - Draw Something with Folds

My daughter folds square pieces of paper into boxes using origami techniques. She made this for me to draw. Again, I didn't have my scanner today so I had to take a photo with my phone,

EDM #36 - Draw Out in Public

This is one of those ones that I don't want to post because it was squeezed into a brief break for a late at Starbucks in between work and volunteer meetings. But...I made a commitment so here it is. If it wasn't for this somewhat public commitment, I wouldn't have done any drawing or other art today at all. I was quite self-concious drawing in a public place and felt like hiding my sketchbook in my lap. Silly eh!?

EDM #33 - Draw an Eye

Hmmmm...looks a little bit like a fish without a tail.

I had a bit of a brain fart yesterday and drew my metallic piece on my #33 page so they are out of order in my book..darn!

EDM #31 - Draw Something You Collect

Happy 1 month sketchblogiversary to me! I'm very pround of myself for having done a sketch/drawing every day for the month of September.

We collect pop can tabs to raise money for buying wheelchairs for people that need them and can't afford one.
